Professional pianist/teacher
Ms. Brodsky graduated from the Mussorgsky College of Music in St. Petersburg, Russia with a major in Piano Pedagogy and Performance.
In 1990 Luba immigrated to the United States and soon thereafter became accompanist for ASU Departments of Dance and Choral Music.
Before moving to California, she accompanied and recorded for Ballet Arizona.
Ms. Brodsky accompanied for the Department of Dance at University of California Irvine (UCI) and while there enjoyed teaching piano to a number
of students.
While living in California, Luba accompanied and performed with such entertainers as Patrick Swayze, Irena Kolpakova, Mikhail Baryshnikov, among others.
Upon returning to the Phoenix area, she concentrated on playing chamber music both for enjoyment and performance. She has performed piano trios and cello/piano works in Kerr Cultural Center.
Ms. Brodsky attended Kneisel Hall in Maine where she studied with Prof. Seymour Lipkin.
Presently Luba enjoys being a studio piano teacher and continues her chamber music experiences, preparing and performing a wide range of
literature.
Luba lives in Scottsdale and is the wife of Robert Carter and mother of Mark and Raymon, both of whom have inherited their mother’s talent and
passion for music.
