Lisa Sampson, MT-BC
Board President Director of Marketing/PR & Programming
Qualifications: Co-Founding Member of SNAP ASU Grad, Music Therapist and Owner/Director of “Creative Arts Therapy Services”, a company subcontracting many Art, Dance & Music Therapists servicing Maricopa County, since 1991. Ms. Sampson collaborates with ASU, supervising clinical internships for students. Numerous contracts currently held (with local hospitals, healthcare facilities & school districts) were initiated with years of education, marketing & grant-writing. She has served with local arts nonprofit organizations, including, Free Arts of AZ, Brain Injury Association of AZ & Scottsdale Arts in Education Council (2008 “Volunteer of the Year”). Lisa is quite proud of her long-standing South Scottsdale community activism, promoting Neighborhood Watch for 30 years, founding member (Sec./Tres.)of the prior, “Block Watch Advisory Council”(to the Chief of Scottsdale PD) & writing numerous funded grants as PTO Pres., for a local elementary school which promoted and hired artists in residence, utilizing the arts to visually transform her neighborhood.
Rob Marrlett, BBA Board
Qualifications: Bachelor of Business (Legal) Robert is an ASU W.P. Carey School of Business graduate with a concurrent bachelor’s degree in business and legal studies. A Notary Public, with a “Public Trust” level security clearance, his recent focus has been small business management, accounting, sales, planning and implementing business growth. Robert has worked with a large accounting firm providing account maintenance and data management for estate and trust accounts, including Cost Basis Adjustments for many accounts of nationally known nonprofit entities. He is currently working with a corporation as their financial advisor. Robert has extensive experience in logistics, and efficiency systems; previously partnering with a patent holder to create a business and marketing plan presented to the Global Aviation Industry, which culminated in presenting to the president of American Airlines. His many years of community involvement reflect his passion to empower individuals to find their creative strengths and develop critical thinking skills through supportive learning environments. He personally promoted his talented vocalist/pianist/guitarist daughter through auditions for “America’s Got Talent”, local open mic venues and acceptance into Scottsdale Community College as the youngest music student; feeling that those successful milestones in the arts develop a lifelong confidence translating into individual success and happiness. Qualifications: Degreed Web designer and Owner/CEO of “ZTS Design & Development”, which has been creating websites since 2006 for individuals and companies that are W3C/WAI compliant. His company specializes in websites that are user friendly for the disabled community. Zach has a helping nature and previously has been employed as an aide for the disabled, group home manager for troubled youth and a voice for those who may not be able to advocate for themselves. Zachary has been doing volunteer work with organizations such as the “Big Ten Golf Classic” (an annual Phoenix event) and “Rebel & Divine”, an Open and Affirming new church for youth, within the United Church of Christ.
Director of Operations
Qualifications: Co-Founding Member of SNAP Professional Bassoonist with the Arizona Opera Orchestra, Faculty Bassoonist and Youth Music Coordinator (each Summer) with the Bay View Music Festival Conservatory of Music in Michigan and currently first-call sub/extra bassoonist for the Phoenix Symphony. Jill brings over 35 years experience, presently continuing as a Chamber Musician, Tour Manager, Outreach Coordinator and Operations Associate, with such entities as Quintessence Chamber Ensemble, Bay View Wind Quintet, Red Rocks Music Festival and Winter Festival of the Phoenix Chamber Music Society. A talented musician, Jill also offers private instruction to all ages, on woodwinds and piano. She has authored over 100 funded arts based grants, created Artist In Residence programming and promoted cultural experiences to audiences and aspiring artists and college students from across the nation and world (each summer) at Bay View Music Festival Conservatory of Music. Additionally, at Bay View she teaches, “Thriving in the Arts” seminars and “Income from Outreach & Children’s Programming” workshops. Monica Sampson Social Media Director Qualifications: An award winning Phoenix based media personality, holding a double bachelors degree from ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism in Broadcast Journalism and The Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts in Theater. Sampson’s work has been featured internationally in London England at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and locally with NPR, PBS, NBC, Childsplay, The Phoenix Theatre Company, Phx Stages, Stray Cat Theatre and more. She uses social media as a platform to tell stories that support the arts.
