Laura has an assist. Her name is Christina Reedis

Christina Reddis

Christina Reedis

At a very young age, Christina knew she wanted to play the flute. After picking out the "flute sound" on an orchestral recording, it was destiny.

Born in Chicago, IL, Christina studied with Mary Louise Poor at The North Shore School of Music until the age of 13 when she and her family relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. Christina continued her training with Eric Hoover and would later receive a Bachelors degree in Flute Performance from Arizona State University. After graduation from ASU, she moved to Boston to work on a Masters degree in Flute Performance at New England Conservatory while also playing with the Boston Philharmonic.

In 1993, Christina returned to Arizona where she has built large private flute and piano studios, teaching at two locations of Stages Music in Scottsdale. In addition to keeping a busy teaching schedule, she plays principal flute in The Scottsdale Arts Orchestra and the Arizona Repertory Orchestra and performs at weddings and special events with Avira Flute Duo.

In April, 2010, Christina performed the Fantasie Brillante on themes from Bizets Carmen as soloist with The Scottsdale Arts Orchestra after winning the ensembles concerto competition.
