Marie Chamberlain, Founder of Parallax Dance

Marie Chamberlain received a BA in modern dance from Brigham Young University. After living in Seattle and reveling in the modern dance community there, she went on to New York University and received and MA in dance education. Marie has taught various forms of dance at the Hartford Conservatory, Albertus Magnus College, and Mesa Community College. She taught at the Regional Center for the Arts, in addition to choreographing their musicals. While living in Connecticut, Marie danced with Clark Dance Theater. She had the opportunity to also choreograph with Clark Dance Theater and YaleDancers. Marie is a Certified Movement Analyst, having trained with the Laban/Bartenieff Center of Movement Studies. She loves to help students understand principles of movement that help them become more expressive, articulate dancers. Marie lives in Mesa, AZ with her husband and four children.
